We are proud to announce that INTERFLEX FOAMS achieved ISO 14001 certification in July 2024*. This internationally recognized certification demonstrates our commitment to adopting environmentally friendly practices and continuously improving our environmental performance.
The ISO 14001 standard defines the criteria for an effective environmental management system. It provides a framework for businesses to:

*Our certificate shows a date of September 2024. Indeed, there was a delay in sending the certificate following our audit in July 2024.

For closed-cell EPDM:
EPK 15 OG
We have recently developed new solutions such as a closed-cell “Organic” EPDM (containing up to 80% bio-based content in the main polymer, in this case EPDM).
Our goal is also to develop the same range of closed-cell products we currently offer (from super-soft to high density) using EPDM produced from non-mineral sources, in order to pave the way toward reduced dependence on the petroleum industry.
EPK 15 OG has been available since early 2024.
Recycled closed-cell foam:
We also offer a closed-cell foam made from recycled polyethylene sources. This provides a sustainable alternative to traditional foam materials, reducing environmental impact through the reuse of materials that would otherwise be discarded.
Today, our PE R 90 and PE R 130 contain only recycled polyethylene in their formulation, along with other components, to provide you with products available in block, sheet, or roll form.
CO₂ emissions reduction
We are also working on reducing the CO₂ emissions of all our sponge rubbers. The INTERFLEX FOAMS teams are actively working to define the carbon footprint of each of our products by 2026, so you can include this information in your own sustainability approach and choose the most responsible material. Some data are already available for part of our product range.
